So here they are, professional wrestling comics. In my opinion the lowest
point of the short life of Valiant comics. Im sure they made plenty
of money for the still new company, but from what I hear it was a tough
license to work under. Gimmicks with the Battlemania issues include
being published in magazine format, the inclusion of a catalogue of
licensed WWF merchandise for sale, and two 2-page posters of popular
characters, as drawn by Valiant artists, that when left and right sides
are put together form a 'match'. Take note of the creators,
many well known artists and writers loaned their talent for these books.
